In his recent interview, Sanjay Leela Bhansali talked about his old film ‘Inshallah’ and making Sudhir Ludhianvi’s biopic. He shared his experience of making films during a conversation with Pinkvilla.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali says that he makes films only when he feels the desire to make films from within. Bhansali further said, ‘Now, as soon as the fourth, fifth and sixth films come out, you will know everything. Right now I can’t tell which film I will work on next, I don’t know what I will make, or when I will make it.
He further says, ‘It is a very spontaneous decision that I will make Gangubai, and suddenly, I put the script and say that now I will make ‘Ram Leela’. I may suddenly want to make ‘Inshallah’. It is about the inner call of the filmmaker, that inner call that comes from within to ‘make this film’.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali further says, ‘When I work completely on a project, I make it as if this film is most important to me. I put my whole heart into it. I want everything to be right, I cannot make a film just because the script is good or the star cast is good.
Talking about his latest release ‘Heeramandi’, he said that he had been preparing for this show for 14 years and for 18 years he had dreamed of making it and now he is happy that he has finally made this series.
