Kajol loves indulging in donuts, expressing her fondness with the dialogue “Kya karun haye kuch kuch hota hai” in her recent World Donut Day post.
This day is celebrated annually on the first Friday of June in the US and other countries, originating from a 1938 Salvation Army event in Chicago. The event honored members who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.
Kajol shared a boomerang video on Instagram, showing her taking a large bite of a chocolate-flavored donut. She added the title track from the 1998 movie ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, for added effect. In her caption, she wrote, “Feeling a little lost, something is happening #donutworrybehappy #worlddonutday.”
The 1998 musical romantic drama ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ marked Karan Johar’s directorial debut. The film also starred Rani Mukerji, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, and Salman Khan in a special role. It portrayed two love triangles set in different time periods.
The upcoming projects of Kajol include ‘Maharagni – Queen of Queens’ and ‘Do Patti.’ In ‘Maharagni – Queen of Queens,’ she reunites with choreographer-director Prabhudeva after 27 years since their 1997 film ‘Minsara Kanavu.’ This pan-India film will release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
With almost 32 years in the industry, Kajol is preparing for the release of ‘Do Patti,’ which stars Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. ‘Do Patti’ is a mystery thriller directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and set in the northern Indian hills.
