Dina Manzo, formerly a prominent member of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, has transitioned away from reality TV. Her ex-husband, Tommy Manzo, faces legal repercussions. They divorced in 2016, with Tommy’s discontent evident post-split.
Dina Manzo remarried Dave Cantin in 2017, a move that Tommy opposed. Consequently, he enlisted John Perna to harm Cantin, offering a lavish wedding reception at The Brownstone, owned by Albert Manzo, in return.
Recently, Tommy was found guilty of this scheme after a two-and-a-half-week trial. U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger stated, “Thomas Manzo employed a member of the Lucchese Crime Family to carry out a brutal assault on his ex-wife’s then-boyfriend, inflicting serious injuries.”
FBI Newark Special Agent in Charge James E. Dennehy commented, “Dina Manzo is now facing a substantial federal prison sentence for hiring a ‘made man’ to assault his ex-wife’s boyfriend.”
The assault on Cantin occurred in 2015, pre-dating their marriage and before Tommy’s divorce was finalized. Dina, whose sister Caroline Manzo was also on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, has severed ties with Albert and Caroline and hasn’t seen them in years.
This situation, coupled with Tommy’s actions, likely exacerbated their estrangement. Tommy’s sentencing is scheduled for October, where he could face up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
